"Ask Me Anything": Live Q&A with Special GuestsPLDI 2020

One of the fantastic things about going to a conference is that you get to talk to people! Conferences are often where we get the chance to meet well known members of our community who have inspired us and influenced our work.

The “Ask Me Anything” track at PLDI 2020 provides attendees with the opportunity to meet and engage in Q&A with leaders in the Programming Languages field.

We are delighted that 15 special guests covering the breadth of our field have kindly agreed to participate in live “Ask Me Anything” sessions, where they will answer questions from PLDI attendees about their research, their careers, and about Programming Languages in general.

The sessions will run in a Zoom webinar format. The guest will be hosted by a session chair who will kick things off by asking the guest some initial questions. Attendees will be able to ask questions by typing them into the webinar’s Q&A facility for the session chair to read to the guest.

The track is called “Ask Me Anything”, which means that you should feel free to ask our guests anything about their professional career and their views on our field. We expect all participant questions to be respectful and appropriate and that all of the participants will follow the PLDI Code of Conduct.
